Hello fellow change management enthusiasts and welcome to my blog!
The purpose of this blog is three-fold:
- Share my passion for and thoughts/ideas about our discipline and how we can improve it.
- Get your feedback/reactions and learn about your passion, thoughts, and ideas.
- Hopefully, in the process, make some friends, improve as practitioners, and better the change management discipline.
My name is Mike Ganyo. I’ve worked at Fortune 100 companies for over 20 years in change management, learning/training and development, and knowledge management.
I have an MA in Human Resource Development with emphases in Organizational Development and Career Development from the University of St. Thomas and a BS in Communications with Psychology and Political Science minors from Bemidji State University. I am a Prosci® Certified Change Practitioner, a Project Management Institute (PMI) Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP)®, and Certified Scrum Master (CSM)®.
At the same time, I’m a student, a learner, and a beginner. I don’t have all the answers and don’t know more than I do know.
I’m fiercely passionate about human beings, our intrinsic value, and our almost limitless capacity to do amazing things / achieve incredible results. I am also a passionate pickleball player!

I firmly believe that as change practitioners, it’s our duty to help people at work (individuals, teams, businesses) connect with their power and unleash it to do amazing things and achieve undeniable results. I also believe we (including me) can do a better job of doing this.
Thank you for reading. I hope this introduction kicks off a long and enjoyable conversation about the discipline we love and how we can improve it and ourselves!
Mike
